When we first walked in, we were greeted and directed towards the dinner area. My first thing I liked about the resort was how clean and country-esque it looked inside, with a big flat-screen tv in the lobby area, wood paneling throughout, some decorative artwork, and more. My only complaint would be the wallpaper in the public bathroom, which was peeling off.
My family of 6 and I loved everything about this place. Cathy and her staff made it so wonderful that we decided to stay there a little while longer by skipping the offsite attractions and spending more time at the hotel! (Pool, waterslide, fire pit, hiking trails, arcade, pool table). The kids loved it there!
Wonderful food and awesome customer service. This is a great place for a real dinner when you are up north!

Now, onto the food. My mother and me split a pizza with green peppers and green olives, my grandmother had a pasta-like dish in a bowl, and my grandmother's boyfriend had the all-you-can-eat cod special that was going on that night. They liked how the food was well-proportioned. There was one complaint about the fish being fried instead of being baked (he wanted it baked), but that issue was quickly resolved with a reordering of the food.
It was the end of a vacation with my relatives and me. We decided on stopping at Woodland for dinner before we went home.
As for quality, the restaurant area (where we were at) was surprisingly quieter than at most other restaurants, despite being almost completely occupied. I found this to be relaxing.
The best time of my life
All the staff at Woodland Pines Resort are very friendly. The kitchen employees were rushing to get orders through, which I felt was a little unprofessional, but they did thank us for our patience. Personally, I think the wait time for all of our food (about 25 minutes) was well worth it.
